I've learned that making a pillow, however, doesn't have to be that difficult. So, with that said, I'm betting you can guess what makes this such an awesome pillow:
I made it! AND it was super easy, AND super cheap, AND (get this)- I didn't have to sew anything!
Thanks to this no-sew pillow tutorial from Centsational Girl, I was able to scoop up a couple of pairs of discounted cloth table napkins ($2 each!) and some fusible web and iron those bad boys together in about 15 minutes.

This one was actually for Tia and I haven't completed the others, but I laid out the napkins over a pillow to give you a sneak peek (and yes, I promise they will get finished even if the napkins went in the dreaded "drawer of things that have no other home and are eventually fogotten"):
I heart this batik print. |

I think I've officially reached DIY nerd status. Hand me the Modge-Podge and the skill-saw because I'm ready for the next one.
These are gorgeous!!! I am drooling over the first one. I am your newest follower :-) Hope to see you at My Dream Canvas.
ReplyDeleteI just made a pillow similar to your first one!! AND, I posted about it yesterday on my blog. Strange coincidence! I saw yours on the Centsational girl facebook page. Here's how mine turned out:
